New Site!
09.18.08
I’ve been getting questions for months about my website. “You build websites. Why is yours so plain?” The simple fact of the matter is I’ve been so busy with client projects, that I haven’t had time to worry about my own site.
The importance of maintaining your personal brand online was recently stressed to me. With so many social and business network profiles floating around out there, it’s sometimes hard to drill down to find bedrock information. So, with that in mind, I decided to forgo sleep for a few weeks, and put together a real site for myself. Not just to serve as an information kiosk, but to be a place to converse.
So, grab a cup of coffee, and stay awhile. It’s no encyclopedia yet, but there should be enough to last until the bottom of a tall Starbucks latte – venti maybe. It’s funny, with client sites; I take some comfort in knowing that I don’t have to provide any content – that’s the client’s job, or the copywriter’s. Now that I have my own site on which I am the only voice, I find it slightly unnerving as I consider filling the site with only my words.
Nevertheless, I will do my best to infuse the site with valuable information on a regular basis. I suspect the blog posts will run the gamut, but you can expect to see posts about the web, WordPress, freelancing, business, and life. I can’t guarantee the secret of life, but like all true commitments, I promise to discharge my role here with meaning and sincerity.
So, like I tell everyone who is starting a new blog: the best way to start is to just get going! Welcome aboard.

Great new design Jeff - looks fantastic!
